Rooisbos or Redbush tea comes from the fine needle like green leaves of the Aspalathus Linearis plant. Fermentation after harvesting changes these leaves from green to deep red producing a very characteristic flavour and sweet aroma. Rooibos tea does not contain caffeine. It offers instead a bouquet of healthy nutrients such as polyphenols, flavanols, flavones, flavanones and others. Delicious with or without milk and sugar it can be served hot or cold. Rooisbos can also be served as espresso, latte or ice tea.
Brewing Guide: 1-2 tea spoons in 250 ml water at 100°C for 6-8 min
