Calendula or Marigold have been used traditionally as culinary and medicinal herbs. The petals are edible and can be used fresh or dried. Romans and Greeks used the golden calendula in many rituals and ceremonies, sometimes wearing crowns or garlands made from the flowers. This Mayfair Tea Calendula blossom comes from Egypt’s sunny Nile River Delta. This is the highest grade petals only selection offering light bodied herbal drink with a subtle floral note, and a smooth honey nuance. Calendula petals make a caffeine free herbal tisane that can be sweetened to taste or used as base for other more complex tea infusions.
Brewing Guide: 1-2 tea spoons in 250 ml water at 100°C for 6-8 min
